Dana Lixenberg

Now now now at Huis Marseille: Dana Lixenberg and her documentary project Imperial Courts 1993-2015, about a marginal area of Los Angeles. 'Tough livings', so to say. And yes, it shows, but in a way that is darn pretty. The picture perfect residence of Huis Marseille already takes your mind to a whole other world, and Lixenberg's photographs will transport you to another one once again. Not necessarily a pretty one. And yet with every new picture that you see you want to know more about it. Quite an accomplishment.

Jon Rafman tickles

We already tipped this young Canadian (1981) because of his internet project '9 Eyes' (with the weirdest images of Google Street View), but the exhibition 'Jon Rafman: I have ten thousand compound eyes and each is named suffering' is really fantastic. Videos with animations and dirty images, headphones with unsettling electronic music, black light and a ball pit you're allowed into. Our hearts are nearly tickled to death by all those 90s references. On view at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam until August 14.

The Wrong

Enjoy the biennial from a wireless device of your own choice. Not just any biennial. No, no, a digital biennial (did we say biennial yet?). 'The Wrong' is an online art manifestation offering the most bizarre internet art of our time. 90 curators picked 1.100 artists. The cream of the crop in terms of what artsy internet has to offer, and we believe it. On top of that it is free of charge and you can just take the digital highway to get there. Clicking is golden... it's not about the destination, it's about the journey!
