The Rijksmuseum Gardens surround the Rijksmuseum and are free of entrance. The visitor encounters 7000 plants and 16000 flowers next to historical artefacts such as constructions of buildings, classical sculptures and vases. The gardens also contain an outside chess set and a restaurant for lunch and dining, as a nice place to relax in the city center of Amsterdam. The Rijksmuseum organizes several sculpture exhibitions in the gardens. Sculptural works of Henry Moore, Joan Miró and Alexander Calder have already been exhibited in the yard.
