Sculpture garden Kasteel het Nijenhuis

Kasteel het Nijenhuis is one of the best preserved manor houses in the province of Overijssel. In the 20th century the castle transformed into a museum and this is also when the statue garden was added. The garden shows the highlights of modern sculpture from the 20th and 21st century. 90 sculptures of renowned artists from inside and outside The Netherlands are represented in the gardens, the lawns and between the trees of the park. Sculptures of Karel Appel, Mario Negri and Allen Jones are on view in the sculpture garden. The statues are part of the collection of Museum de Fundatie, Beelden aan Zee and the province of Overijssel.
