New York-based artist Roni Horn is a versatile contemporary artist who makes sculptures, installations, photographs and drawings with diverse materials and techniques. Her work is subtle, poetic and as she calls it, ‘site-dependent’, creating a visual language that is completely her own. Her diversity and the variety of techniques make it difficult to put a specific label on her. Horn’s fascination for Iceland is apparent in the many photo series she made from waves, rocks, geysers and lava; series in which she captures the continuous formation of the landscape.
