In 1991, the first issue of the iconic fashion and culture magazine Dazed & Confused was published, which has been a leading magazine in the fashion industry for more than three decades and has become world famous for its visual iconography. As the founder and first photo editor of Dazed & Confused, Rankin set the visual tone for which the magazine is known.
The exhibition “Rankin: The Dazed Decades” examines his inimitable style and vision of photography. Rankin’s groundbreaking photographic archive not only highlights the social issues the magazine addressed, but also the stars and familiar faces that have dominated pop culture over the past thirty years.
