New&Old: Than Hussein Clark

Since 2008, a dialogue has been going on at the Frans Hals Museum between old masters and contemporary artists, in the framework of the series Conversation Piece. The series is being continued and extended further with new commissioned works by contemporary artists under the title New&Old.

Artist Than Hussein Clark presents a new series of sculptures, called tête-à-têtes, that was developed especially for the Frans Hals Museum. He invites the visitor to take place inside of the sculptures and to engage in an intimate dialogue with an object or painting.
