Magali Reus: Mustard

This year, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam presents the first Dutch museum solo of Dutch artist Magali Reus.

At first sight, Reus seems to depict ordinary aspects of our daily lives. Only later, when you take a closer look, the hidden complexity in her approach is revealed. She uses layers or repetition of imagery in such a way that the images lose their functionality and merge into an abstract whole.

Reus makes new work for the occasion of this exhibition.
