Fra Bartolommeo – The Divine Renaissance

Leonardo da Vinci, Rafaël, Michelangelo and Fra Bartolommeo are the four most important artists of the High Renaissance. Fra Bartolommeo’s paintings have never been shown in the Netherlands before.

The biggest collection of artworks by Fra Bartolommeo worldwide is in the hands of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. The exhibition comprises over 150 drawings and dozens of paintings. From preliminary studies, functional in the work process but artworks in their own right as well, to paintings as the end result.
