Esther de Graaf – Branching Fields

Esther de Graaf makes miraculous constructions with materials such as cardboard, iron wire, aluminum foil, tape and cellophane.

For the exhibition Esther de Graaf – Branching Fields she made a new installation in the Coop Himmelb(l)au pavilion at the Groninger Museum; a concrete, glass and steel space.

The exhibition is characterized by the physical experience of walking through it, crawling inside, looking at it  from the top, looking up to it, studying it up close or observing from a distance. De Graaf invites the visitor to explore the work and to become aware of his own inner life at the same time.
