David Bowie is, the popular exhibition that was in Victoria & Albert Museum in 2013 and afterwards in several other museums worldwide, has already attracted over a million visitors. The exhibition provides an overview of the extraordinary career of David Bowie, one of the most influential artists of our time. Some 300 objects from the David Bowie archive, ranging from handwritten lyrics and stage costumes to set-designs and photography, have been brought together for the first time. The variety of the objects provides an in-depth exploration of Bowie as a musical innovator and cultural icon. The purposefully open-ended title DAVID BOWIE is emphasized the constant reinvention of the artist’s persona: Bowie cannot be pinned down, making for an extremely dynamic and intriguing exhibition.
