Bouke Ylstra

Bouke Ylstra (The Hague 1933 – Dordrecht 2009) was a printmaker, draftsman and painter and is known to be an artist with light-hearted subjects and a playful brushstroke.

The Dordrechts Museum shows an important selection of Ylstra’s paintings and drawings, whose etches and paintings create an image to experience and to wander off into. Many of his works are analytical, sometimes anecdotal and wittily critical.
