Bernadette Corporation

The New York-based artists collective Bernadette Corporation has greatly contributed to the formation of the myth around itself by organizing secret events, writing a collective novel and by empathically presenting itself as a company.

In 2015, the Stedelijk purchased various video and photo works, fashion designs from their Fall/Winter 1997 collection and a floor sculpture from their underground filmproject Pedestrian Cinema. These acquisitions will be presented in a new context.

The exhibition is part of the series Stedelijk Contemporaries, a sequence of solo exhibitions by a promising generation of artists.
