How do we hold ourselves within the mysteries of our time? How can we reclaim our creativity, strenght and softness to help shape the world around us?
Following the release of the acclaimed Pretty Brilliant Women in the Arts series (vol. I-III), See All This is bringing Pretty Brilliant to life with a special gathering in the lead-up to International Women’s Day in collaboration with De Nieuwe Creatieven, an artist collective from Nijmegen.
We’re delighted to invite you to a curated afternoon guided by pioneering women from the art world and beyond, centred on one guiding question: How do we support women in rising? Moving beyond conventional narratives of ‘female empowerment’, we will explore alternative ways of being and working – grounded in essential values such as sisterhood, alignment, compassion and resilience.
Programme
13:00 ~ Doors open
13:30 ~ Welcome + Opening remarks by See All This’ founding editor Nicole Ex about Goddesses, specifically the Goddess of Water. While we’re increasingly questioning models of power based on control and hierarchy, water represents a different kind of strength: it yields, adapts, nourishes and erodes over time.
14:00 ~ With Ellis Schoonhoven, artist and founder of De Nieuwe Creatieven, we will bring the practice of The Artist’s Way to life: of exploring your inner landscape and connecting freely with your creative sources.
14:15 ~ Seleyn DeYarus, artist, writer, and co-founder of Ideaphoria B.V. explores how we root and ground into remembering our genius is love.
14:30 ~ Heske ten Cate, curator of the exhibition Mothering Myths, on maternal narratives and care, and the depictions of motherhood in art.
15.00 ~ Gal Charu Weiler, creative healer and energy reader, on body work and the weaving inside yourself that will remind you how we used to influence reality through the ages. ‘It’s time for the feminine to rise and bring new standards of being humans together.’
15:20 ~ Break
15.45 ~ Focus group session
17.00 ~ Group wrap-up, moderated by Nicole Ex
17.15 ~ Closing water ritual
17.30 ~ Drinks
(Note: this programme is also open to men)
