This spring, the Oude Kerk presents To Breathe, a large-scale site-specific installation by Kimsooja (1957). An exhibition about migration, being on the move and coming home. In the Oude Kerk, once a seafarers’ church, Kimsooja will display her bottari – Korean textile bundles symbolising travel and transition – made together with Amsterdam migrant communities, bringing together history and personal stories.
