The collection presentation featuring new acquisitions explores the power of the link; literally in the form of the chain, and symbolically as a connection between people, historical narratives, and social issues. Each link has its own shape, but only gains meaning in relation to the other links. This selection of new acquisitions for the CODA collection presents sculptures, jewellery, spatial works, heritage objects, and a special collection of (everyday) utensils and objects from Het Apeldoornsche Bosch.

For example, the necklace Portrait Jewelry by Takayoshi Terajima engages with current discussions on artificial intelligence. Wall Necklace by visual artists Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz consists of hanging chains made of gold- and silver-coloured links. The works Zwaan en Boomstammen by Arno Kramer are two fine additions to the works by Kramer already held in the CODA collection. Finally, the history of the Jewish psychiatric institution has been given a permanent space through the expansion of the Apeldoornsche Bosch Memorial Centre.
