Claudy Jongstra | Felted Artwork Indigo (B4)

To celebrate the launch of Pretty Brilliant: Women in the Arts Vol. III, which explores the theme of goddesses, Claudy Jongstra has created a new series of unique felt artworks.

Each piece is crafted using wool from Jongstra’s own herd of Drenthe Heath sheep, combined with silk and merino wool. Measuring approximately 50 x 50 cm, this particular work is hand-dyed with natural pigments derived from wild harvested walnut, madder root, indigo, woad, coreopsis, Burgundian Black and weld.

The piece is signed and labelled on the reverse, and a Velcro strip is attached for easy hanging.
