Pei-Hsuan Wang

From 7 June to 26 October 2025, the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics will present a solo exhibition by artist Pei-Hsuan Wang. Wang’s work often draws on personal and familial histories, exploring intergenerational ties and the shifting nature of kinship when family members migrate across the globe. During her recent residency at the European Ceramic Workcentre (EKWC) in Oisterwijk, the Taiwan-born artist delved into sancai, an ancient glaze technique from the Tang dynasty (618–906). The five works featured in the exhibition form an installation through which Wang reflects on identity, heritage, and mortality. Three of the sculptures were created recently at the EKWC. EKWC@Princessehof: Pei-Hsuan Wang – The Extent of Our Union marks Wang’s first solo exhibition in the Netherlands.
