Fenix, the new art museum about migration, presents three new works by Latifa Echakhch, April Bey, and Jasleen Kaur. The artworks are being shown in the Netherlands for the first time and are part of In-between, a new public route featuring ten female artists. The route runs straight through the exhibition All Directions and allows visitors to experience the collection in a new way.

With In-between, Fenix shows that migration is not only about departure and arrival, but especially about what happens in between and afterwards. ‘Migration is often seen as a straight line from A to B,’ says Yev Kravt, curator at Fenix. ‘But for many people, it is a lasting state of being in-between. In particular, female artists often know how to capture that in-between space so well. They emphasize that migration does not stop upon arrival. It continues to shape how you live and who you become.’
