Homecoming

In the exhibition Homecoming, on show from 28 June 2025 to 7 December 2025 in the Van Abbemuseum’s project room, online platform Alien Mag invites artists to show what “home” means to them. They show that this is not just a place, but can also be a person or memory. They call on visitors to think about the question: What does home mean to you?

Alien Mag seeks to explore the journey of self-discovery and the moment of finding your inner home. They invited Brabant-based artists Hemaseh Manawi Rad, Rita Pieternella, Larissa Schepers, Miranda Gashi and Irem Pınarbaşı to represent this quest from various art disciplines. In their work, they do not shy away from difficult conversations and emotions.
