In Holy Shit, the artists Beppe Kessler, Jeroen Jongeleen and Milah van Zuilen make the effects of nitrogen on the landscape tangible with jewellery, video work and geometric compositions made from natural materials.

Van Zuilen moves through the landscape of the Hoge Veluwe, driven by curiosity and unexpected twists and turns. In her work, she creates grids with organic material she encounters to express how humans try to control the natural environment.

Beppe Kessler draws our attention to natural cycles and how humans attach value judgements to them. She places rabbit droppings next to pearls and shows the comparison in organic processes.

Jeroen Jongeleen takes a bird’s-eye view of the changes humans have made to the landscape. The works question how we can move in new ways in the landscape of the Veluwe and how art and nature can come together in this.
