Place de Belgique 1, 1020 Brussels, Belgium
From 24 January to 1 February 2026, the BRAFA Art Fair will open its 71st edition at Brussels Expo. The fair brings together 140 leading exhibitors from 19 countries, presenting an impressive selection of Old Masters, contemporary art, design, archaeology, and applied arts. This eclectic fair is the meeting place for passionate collectors and art lovers in search of exceptional objects and new discoveries. This year, the King Baudouin Foundation is taking part in BRAFA for the 20th time and is guest of honour at the art fair in 2026. This is also the year in which the Foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary.
On the occasion of this jubilee, the King Baudouin Foundation will present a series of recent acquisitions, alongside a selection of major works acquired in the past that now form part of Belgium’s public heritage. Among the recently acquired works are an iconic artist’s jewel by Pol Bury, a masterwork of kinetic art; an important piece by the Namur-based pop artist Evelyne Axell; a 19th-century masterpiece in Brussels lace; and an Art Deco carpet by Elisabeth De Saedeleer.
