On Saturday 11th October, writer and editor-in-chief Nicole Ex and philosopher Wouter Bijdendijk will engage in conversation inspired by the exhibition herman de vries. 70 years of nature as artwork at Rijksmuseum Twenthe.

In herman de vries’ work, the relationship between humans and plants is central. Through his project natural relations and countless artworks, he demonstrates how plants, herbs and trees permeate our lives: as food, medicine, stimulants and as a source of inspiration. For him, research is always a physical experience – feeling, tasting, experiencing.

During this conversation, Nicole Ex and Wouter Bijdendijk will delve into the healing power of plants and the role this plays in herman de vries’ work. An encounter that offers space for contemplation and new ways of looking at the nature around us.
