ABOUT DANIEL MULLEN EN LUCY CORDES ENGELMAN
In the spectacular new series Synesthesia, artist Daniel Mullen and artist and filmmaker Lucy Cordes Engelman translate the experience of synesthesia to the canvas. Mullen depicts how “synesthete” Engelman experiences concepts such as time, numbers and letters through multiple senses. They will talk about how that works on Feb. 20.

Daniel Mullen (Glasgow, 1985) earned his BFA from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2011. Mullen has exhibited in London, Vancouver, New York, Sao Paulo and Berlin, and shortlisted for the Aesthetica Art Prize. Lucy Cordes Engelman (Washington, 1987) is an artist, actress and filmmaker.
Work from the Synesthesia series can also be seen at Art Rotterdam at Marian Cramer Project and in the exhibition Chapter 3HREE – Maarten Spruyt at Het HEM.
