Andreas Blühm became director of the Groninger Museum in 2012. He grew up in Bremen and studied art history at the Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen and the Free University of Berlin. One of the positions he had before moving to Groningen was as head of presentations at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. In 2009, Blühm was awarded Cologne’s culture price for ‘Best Cultural Manager of the Year’.
