ARTIS is a meeting place where nature is imaginatively brought close and debates are held on how humans value, understand and treat nature. More than 1.3 million people visit ARTIS Park and Micropia every year.

Micropia was named as Europe’s most innovative and pioneering museum by the jury of European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA). The jury on Micropia: ‘It is a unique, original and pioneering museum that makes the world of microbes visible in an attractive and engaging way. Micropia takes the concept of a museum to a higher level.’
