Galerie Slewe shows work by contemporary artists, especially painting and abstract art in particular. The gallery was founded in 1994 by Martita Slewe and is located in the center of Amsterdam. On average, there are six solo exhibitions a year. These are carefully planned and presented. Sometimes, a catalogue is published, usually designed by graphic designer Irma Boom who is also responsible for the gallery’s brand identity. Furthermore, the gallery is present at several prominent, international art fairs every year, such as Art Cologne and Art Rotterdam.
