In this exhibition, MOTI highlights the cultural heritage of Jheronimus Bosch with contemporary interpretations of artists and writers.
New Delights translates the more than 500 year old painting Garden of Delights by Jheronimus Bosch to the present. Different elements of the triptych are brought to life in films by Persijn Broersen & Margit Lukács, Studio Smack, Eelco Brand and Floris Kaayk.
Those contemporary artists use the work as inspiration for their own work. In doing so, an additional layer of meaning is added to the historical work, that not only enhances the perception of the painting, but also places the work in the context of contemporary visual culture.
The exhibition is part of the Bosch Grand Tour, a collaboration between seven museums in four cities of Brabant.
